Farrah Howell, Intern
Farrah Howell is a graduate counseling intern working toward her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology at Southern Wesleyan University. She is currently completing her clinical training under supervision as part of her journey toward becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA).
Farrah was born in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and later moved to Charlotte, where she began her family. She now resides in Upstate South Carolina with her husband, two sons, and their mastiff, Odin. Alongside her clinical training, she also works in child welfare with the Department of Social Services in Pickens County, where she is passionate about supporting children and families in her community.
In her free time, Farrah enjoys spending time with her family and being near the ocean—Jekyll Island is a favorite place for rest, reflection, and recharging.
Farrah takes a holistic, person-centered approach to counseling, believing that healing happens through collaboration, empathy, and a strong therapeutic relationship. She is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and culturally responsive space where clients feel heard and respected as active participants in their own growth and healing. She enjoys working with adults, adolescents, and couples as they navigate life’s challenges, relationships, and personal development.
How Much Is It?
Farrah will be offering heavily discounted services in person in Greenville and online to anyone in South Carolina. Sessions can range anywhere from $10-$80 depending on need and income! (Use this graphic to help determine where you might fall on that scale, and then talk to Farrah about how much you can pay. We trust you to make the best decision for yourself and decide that alongside Farrah!)
How Does seeing an Intern Work?
As an intern at Kennington Counseling, Farrah will work under the supervision of both Jordan Kennington LPCS-C and other supervised professors at Southern Wesleyan University. This includes weekly check-ins with these licensed professionals to ensure she is providing the highest quality care.
